Hey Everyone....Look at this Merc
 

Hey all.....I went to a flea market, and found this cool Merc Dime. It's made of Solid Silver.....just kidding, it's made with expanded foam.
My question, has anybody ever seen anything like this? What could it be worth, I checked Ebay, and found nothing like it in active or closed.

that would be a cool doodad for an armory or basement. I would pay $5 for it at a garage sale.

They are very pretty. But we can't have coins with pictures of lady liberty anymore, only presidents, to remind us how wonderful the federal goobermint is.

I suspect that it's a one-of-a-kind.
Someone probably lovingly hand-carved that baby.

Ryedale, I used to see those coins like you are discribing adorning various banks. I was lucky enough years ago back in the 1980s to find a bank that was remodeling and had on display a $20 St.Gaudens and $10 St. Gaudens and a $5 Indian. They were no longer going to display them so I asked if I could buy them. Being a long time customer they gave them to me. There is a manufacturer label on back but I would have to go into the attic to retrieve that info.

Thanks Silverwood, If you get a chance that would be great, It was labeled $2 and I got it for $1, so not out much. It looks pretty neat on the wall.
It has plenty of detail and very sharp lines on the lettering and numbers, so it must have been somewhat professionally done. The whole thing is about an inch thick.
